Webs of Life

I am shocked. This poem indicates the main theme of ECCC long before I first envisioned the story series. The themes of ECCC must have been jumping around my mind long before I ever considered writing it.

Also, this was a pain to transfer to this website.

Webs of Life and Death

Jeromy the pediatrician. He woke up

in the hospital.

His stethoscope, it checked hearts.

He plugged in his microwave.

Shocked and died, by electrical cord.

Jane the magician. She woke up on

the beach.

Her hat, it held tricks.

She ate some spoiled meat.

There she died, she got sick.

Janess the waitress. She woke in

the diner.

Her platter, it stacked pancakes.

She tripped, her legs snapped.

She died, but she delivered her plate.

Jessica the baby. She woke up in the

womb.

Her umbilical, it strangled her.

She asphyxiated herself.

Sadly, she died, she'd barely lived.

Jeff the musician. He woke up on

the bed.

His bass, it overwhelmed.

He fell into a pool.

Where he died, where he drowned.

Julia the mermaid. She woke up in

the sea.

Her song, it lulled fish to sleep.

She angered a Great White.

In jaws, she died. She became sushi.

Jarom the minister. He woke up in the

chimney.

His dwellings, they were clean.

He performed a baptism.

Fired, he died, not water, but gasoline.

Jerry the plumber. He woke up in

the tub.

His solvent, it cleared pipes.

He walked down a dark street.

And he died, his money swiped.

Jean the leper. She woke up in

the swamp.

Her diseases, they were many.

Bugs and rain ended her life.

She died, exacerbated by humidity.
