Dream: People go missing in a spaceship

June 8th, 2024

I dreamed I was in a spaceship in orbit. I was not alone. But I didn't trust the crew. None of the passengers knew how they had arrived. And the coincidences started stacking up. The personnel in uniform, black visors and gas mask-like helmets hid their faces. They were supposedly the ship's crew, but their function on the ship was as vague as their unsatisfactory answers to our questions.

People got lost. Families separated. Children missed their parents, parents looked for their children. They'd been together when they arrived, but they'd lost track of each other a few hours later.

The ship was only so big. While the crowds dispersed, I was certain their numbers grew thin. But more people kept arriving. The number of inhabitants should have been increasing, the ship should've grown more crowded. Yet I eventually found it hard to find even a single soul. Even the crew in uniform face-obscuring masks were nowhere to be found.
