Sum Income, Sir?

Consumerism claims to be

Protection of customer interest.

But others claim that it is selfish

and make uselessness seem needed

Convincing people to buy things

Because they are seen on TV

To buy things that they don’t need

Or value, use, or want to keep.

There are companies

That are selling things

that have no use

Except to make money

But let us not be so one-sided

We know the detriments of this

But what about the benefits?

If it so bad, why do we like it?

The Truth is that we want

To buy the things they sell.

They know what we want to buy

They advertise so you know you want it.

The transaction of money

Causes fluid Economy

The movement of money

Is what we are gonna need

Because if the flow is clogged

The money will stop

Customers can’t buy

What companies have to sell

When customers don’t buy

The companies drop the price

But when the price drops

Then so must the cost

Because to be profitable

Price must outweigh the cost

But to make it affordable

Some of the price must be lost.

If your cost outweighs your price

Then money will be lost

Because customers put in

Less money then making it costs

Left with one option

They have to fire

The workers that

We need to be hired.

Because at this time

People need money

They cannot buy

Products from companies.

They need jobs to earn money

They need money to buy products

And with more money to buy

Companies raise the price and cost

Too bad that this can’t happen

Because companies can’t pay

Workers without jobs to work in

A cause of more cost, is more wages

A sad cruel system

A brutal game.

To avoid this problem

Keep the money flowing.

To increase the flow

Perform transactions

Where does the money go?

To companies and businesses.

As long as customers are paying

Companies are selling things.

When they sell, they pay worker wages

That in turn will buy commodities.

Consumerism

Isn’t always a bad thing

It actually helps our economy

By encouraging people to buy more things.

So by now you probably see that

Consumers are just as important

As producers and companies

Or as manufacturers and businesses could be.
