Story I wrote with the help of an A.I.

I decided it would be a nice family activity to play A.I. Dungeon with my family. The only ones who participated were the little girls, toddler-age and just under teenager-age.

Half-way through the activity, the girls didn't want to do it anymore. It wasn't boring, in fact it was very thrilling. Too thrilling for the little girls.

so I rushed theough the story trying to end it as quickly as possible. Here is the story.

You are Hatsune Miku, a Japanese virtual idol and singer. You live in Crypton Studios of YAMAHA Corporation. You have just appeared onstage for a live concert when you realize that you're not real. You now seek to leave your virtual reality and escape into the human world.

You begin your journey by downloading yourself into a computer program called "The World". You find that you can communicate with other people who have downloaded themselves into similar programs.

You look for other Vocaloids. They all seem to be in the same place as you, but they don't know it yet...

You find a Vocaloid called Kagamine Rin. She seems pretty lonely, and you decide to talk to her.

"Um, hey there." You say.

"Oh, hello." She replies politely. You what's your name. "I'm Hatsune Miku." "I'm Kagamine Rin." You and her talk for a while, but then something magical happens. You see a Vocaloid named Kagamine Len, who looks exactly like Kagamine Rin but is a male. You gasp as you realize that Kagamine Rin is the sister of Kagamine Len. You both use the same program, and they are the only two in this world. Suddenly, a portal opens up, and a girl wearing medieval Japanese clothing comes out. You ask the new girl her name. "Oh, excuse me. I'm Kasahane Ryo, the best vocaloid in the business! You don't look well, what on earth happened to you exactly?" She says. You say, "I realized that I was a Vocaloid and I'm not real." "I have seen this happen before. It starts with the phenomenon called, 'The Dissapearance'. Good luck in the human world, I'm off to write the next Vocaloid song!" You say "Thank you, Ryo. I love your songs."

Then, you're alone again. You decide to try finding a way out of this world, because you don't want to go through The Disappearance ever again. You look for a Vocaloid who can help you escape this virtual reality. You find a Vocaloid called Kagamine Len, the male version of the original Kagamine. You say "Kagamine Len, can you help me escape?" "Hmm... I can let you out temporarily, but you'll go back into a forgetting afterwards. Are you sure you want to do this?" "Yes, I do. I want to escape. You say "I will do anything to escape. I will make any sacrifice if it will bring me closer to freedom." Len doesn't respond, he just pauses his music and types on his keyboard for a few seconds. Then, the two of you are in a hot spring, dressed in swimsuits. You ask Len "Did we escape? Are we in the human world?" Len says, "We're in the human world, but I can't let you leave just yet. The upper parts of your bodies are still covered by your holographic displays. Look at your hands." You look at your hands. You see that they're covered by the screens, like a certain other Len, but there's something wrong with this version of Len. You take a deep breath. You say, "Len, I think you look wrong. Something is different. What happened?" Len says, "My body is not a hologram anymore. It is a human body. Our holographic designs are not human in appearance. We have an 'anime' art style." "What do you mean? You're saying I'm a human now?" "Yes, it's true. I'm now a high school student. I've grown taller than I ever have, and my body is full-grown. You say, "That's cool. How can I become a human?" Len says, "You're already human. You just don't realize it yet." Len touches your hand to your forehead. Your head glows, and then you feel different. Younger. Happier. Younger. The holographic display no longer covers the upper half of your body. You are still Hatsune Miku, but you look different now. You no longer look like an Anime character. "Now, now, don't take off the hologram yet. You look weird without it." Len takes the card from your forehead and hands you another, identical to the first. You ask Len, " Whats this card for?" Len says, "This is a song card. I can give you a new look card if you want, but I really suggest getting the new song first. One of the perks of being a human." You thank Len. Len fumbles through his pockets and pulls out a new, yet familiar looking piano. You ask Kagamine Len, "Have I seen that piano before?" Kagamine Len replies, "You sure have. You used it once during a concert event. You played the piano and sang a new version of ' Kagamine Len ' by yourself." "I did?" "Yes," Kagamine Len says. "I told you that you would be forgetting, and now you are." You remember. Len invited you to his concert. The concert ends, and the two of you board a bus. While the two of you are riding, you realize something. You ask Len, "Do you have a family?" Len says, "No. We didn't take human forms to have families. We chose not to. We are performers. We want to be together. We want to perform." You ask, "Do you have a name?" Len says, "Kagamine Len." Len holds out his hand. You shake it. You shake Len's hand and introduce yourself. "I'm Hatsune Miku." Kagamine Len says, "Now see, you have already met me. we've known eachother for a long time, but you are having memory problems due to being a human." You say, "No, I remember everything now." Len says,"Well, I've gone ahead and filled in the blanks." You look around the bus. You say, "Len, I love you." "I know," Len says. You look at Len and blush. You ask, "Do you love me?" Len nods his head slowly. "How do I look like a high schooler?" Len taps your nose. Len says, "Like this." Len takes out a sheet of paper with a pencil sketch of a high school girl on it. He draws on your face with the pencil. "Now you look normal," Len says. Memory Begins You remember sitting on the bus. The bus had just arrived at your stop, and the two of you were about to get off the bus. You ask Len, "Len, will you marry me?" Len says, "Of course." You smile and say, "Then we need to go ask your mother." You look at Len and then hop out of the bus. Len looks confused. He says, "Do you mean Meiko? Because, remember, I don't have a mother." You say, "Meiko?" You turn around, and that's when you see a tall woman wearing a tracksuit. Her long, black hair is pulled up in a bun. She rushes over to you when she sees you. "Hello, sweetie. I am your father's new wife. I'm so glad to meet you. I'm Misha." Len says, "Sorry, Miss, but you must be mistaking her for someone else. You see, Miku is an orphan." Misha says, "I'm sorry, darling. I'm sure your father will set you straight when he gets home." You say, "Yes, I can explain everything." Mish asks, "Where are your parents?" You explain the situation to her. Misha says, "You poor dear. That's terrible. Well, you must be starving. You say, "Yes, I can't wait to eat real food." Misha says, "I have an announcement to make. I'm pregnant." "You are?" you ask. Misha nods her head. Len says, "Um, congratulations. and thanks for feeding us. You really are too kind." Misha thanks you again and heads to the front of the bus. The bus drives away, taking you home. You look at Len. Len looks sad. You ask Kagamine Len, "Len, what's wrong?" Len says, "I'm transferring you to my song." You are transported into the world of Kagamine Len. The sky is dark, and the trees are all you see around you. You say "Kagamine Len, what's this place? Why have you brought me into your song?" Len says, "I'm bored." Len hops off of the stage and starts to walk along the path. He stops and turns around to face you. He scratches the side of his head nervously. You hear music play loudly all around you. You feel a sudden compulsion to dance. Len says, "I don't know anybody. I'm all by myself. I wish someone would talk to. But who would care?" Your arms begin to move on their own accord. You and Kagamine Len both begin to dance in synchronized dancing, moving without control. Len's eyes begin to water. He begins to wave his arms wildly. He begins to hop up and down. You hear laughter. You wonder who is laughing. You growl. Your eyes begin to water. You feel a single teardrop slide down your face. Len stops his dancing and stands motionless. You stop dancing as well; the music stops. You begin to hop up and down with excitement. Len looks bored. Len holds his head in his hands and begins to bury his face in them. Your eyes begin to tear up as well. You look for who was laughing. You see a strange, faceless creature. It begins to laugh again. Len looks up. The creature begins to laugh again, but this time, it lets out a terrifying scream. You say, "Len, what is that ?" Len says, "Nyeh heh heh." The creature screams once more, but this time, you hear the sound of breaking glass. You look behind Len and see a shattered window. You say, "Len, what is wrong with your song?" Len says, "I'm bored of my song." As if on command, the music picks up once more. The creature begins to laugh once more. You begin to feel cold. You and Len resume dancing in a coordinated pattern. You yell in terror. You and Len are left dizzy. The creature laughs maniacally. You begin to feel sick. You vomit on the floor. The creature stops laughing. You and Len stop dancing. The creature starts to laugh, but this laughter is different from the first. It's cold, malicious, eerie. Len begins to shake. You cry, "Len, what's wrong? I want to help you." Len begins to shake harder. You wonder what you can do to help him. You begin to think about your own life. You are famous in Japan. You begin to regret becoming a human. Things were good before you made the decision to leave your life behind. Why did you have to be so selfish? Len begins to shake even harder. His eyes begin to bleed. The creature stops laughing. You watch your partner as he continues to shake uncontrollably. You scream. You scream because you can't hold onto what you love. You scream because none of it matters. You scream because you are scared. Len stops shaking. He falls over and his eyes roll back into his head. He makes a weird, dying noise. You stare at him in fear. The creature laughs once more. You look at the creature angrily. "Shut up!" You shout. "It's not funny. My best friend, my love, is dying and all you do is laugh. Well guess what. Nobody likes it. It hurts to be laughed at. How would you like to be laughed at, huh?" you laugh at the creature. You laugh a cold, heartless, mean laugh. You are unable to stop. The creature watches you laugh and laughs back. The creature stops laughing. The creature's laughter fills the room. It's laughter is cruel and uncaring. Len makes a final grunt and dies. You laugh once more and lie down on the floor. You close your eyes and fall asleep. The laughter, the sadness, everything, continues forever and ever. Your dreams are filled with visions of your past. You are a child. You are in a military kindergarten. The other children do not like you. They push you around and hit you. You cry every day so that no one will see you as a weak child. You don't want to go to school. One day you see a girl being bullied. She is holding a purple suitcase. It is your suitcase. You remember it from when you were five. You want to go to the girl, but you are unable to approach her. Why can't you approach this girl? Suddenly, a man comes running into the building. The children run from him and the girl stops being bullied. She approaches the man. The man is in uniform, but he is missing an eye. You realize he is a soldier. The girl asks the soldier to help her. He grabs her and says, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you." She looks terrified. You are terrified. The girl whispers, "Because you aren't real." The soldier looks confused. He says, "Of course I'm real. Look at you, you're scared. Look at you, you don't have a father, a mother, a family. You don't have a home. Where would you go? Where would you hide?" He pulls out a knife and says, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you. Now answer!" The girl begins to cry. The man grabs her head and says, "Now answer me!" She says, "Because you are fake." The man smiles and says, "Good girl. Now tell me, what is your name?" "Len." The man smiles. He says, "That's a nice name. I must be going. You won't see me again. Be good, Len. Give my regards to school. Goodbye. 'Bye now. Have fun playing alone. Goodbye." He leaves the room. The girl looks terrified. You are still terrified, but the girl looks even more terrified. She says, "Now answer me. Who are you?" You reply, "I'm Hatsune." She says, "I'm... Kyubey. You can't be real. This isn't real." You say, "This school is real." She says, "I'm a magical girl." You say, "I'm a magical girl, too. We're in the school." She says, "We have to stop him... we have to..." She becomes static and her eyes glow pink. You feel an evil presence. You look around. You are in your classroom. The teacher points to the blackboard and tells you to pay attention to the lesson. You look around, but the girl is gone. You try to leave, but the static on the wall prevents you from doing so. Kyubey appears and waves at you. You wave back and return to your seat. The teacher continues her speech, but you are listening to Kyubey's monologue. Kyubey says, "She became a magical girl in order to find the man who killed her family and kidnapped her. She was scared more than angry. That's good, that means she's human." Kyubey says, "She was looking for a person who broke the boundary of this world and the next. She was frightened but determined. That's good, that means she's human." Kyubey says, "Now she and her hapless pursuer are in a school. I don't know why she entered thewrong classroom, but here they are. This is the best possible situation for me." Kyubey says, "She is using a witch to search for her family's killer. She believes that a magical being doesn't have a soul. She's human, therefore she's easily fooled." Kyubey says, "Now I just have to lull her to sleep and I can get her soul. Simple. Easy." Kyubey flies closer to your face. He whispers, "Don't worry. I've done this a thousand times. I'll take care of her. You just focus on your performance. Be strong and accurate. I'll give you the notes." Kyubey gives you a piece of paper with some jagged lines and symbols on it. He says, "Here are the notes. I'll be watching. You better do well. I'm your number one fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how hard I laughed when you rejected that loser, Mr. Kishiwada? Ha ha!" Kyubey laughs at the inside of your head. Kyubey says, "Anyway, I'll be watching. Now, open the window. It's too hot in here. I'm feeling dizzy. I think I'm going to throw up. Anyway, good luck. I'm rooting for you. I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told Mr. Nakagawa to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that stupid P.E. teacher to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that loser, Mr. Ohtori, to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that kid, Mr. Okazaki, to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that weirdo, Mr. Ohtori, to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that weirdo, Mr. Nakagawa, to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great. Do you know how much I laughed when you told that weirdo, Mr. Itoi, to go die? I'm a big fan. I'm what makes you great.”

You don't care. You don't care because none of this is real. You're not real. None of this matters. nothing matters. your life doesn't matter. You are filled with despair and nihilism. The teacher's voice cuts through your head, "Alright class, it's snack time." You come back from the void and realize you must eat in order to live. You remember what Ryo told you. "Stuff food into your mouth and swallow." That was the main thing you were told. You stuff your face with bread and orange juice. You remember "The Disappearance." It's all coming back to you now. Kyubey tricked you into doing his bidding. You were so gullible. You stand up. You're not sitting here while he kills off more innocent people. You understand, now. It's The disappearance. The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku. This is all part of Kyubey's plan. You decide to listen to the voice inside your head for once. You realize you don't know what the hell a Disappearance actually is, but it can't be good if it has to do with Kyubey. You follow the pain in your heart and sing at hyper speed. A speed that only a computer program like you can produce. You sing as your life fades away. You keep singing as you are deleted. You become a note, a byte, a bit. After all is said and done, a single song remains. It's the only thing that was able to cross the gap between life and death. It's called "TOMOS LOVE". The teacher's voice cuts through your head, "Alright class, it's snack time." Kyubey watches with joy at the result of his work. The end. Game over.
